For sale (due to owner’s changing life situation): Snow Goose - a beautiful, very well-maintained, fine example of the popular Etap 26i manufactured in 2003. Superb condition inside and out, with the double hull, fully foamed, that ensures unsinkability and prevents condensation keeping the cabin dry and mould-free.
The open-plan saloon can accommodate two adults. The aft cabin also has a double berth, although a bit cramped. The galley area is fully functional with a cooler and two-burner gas cooker stove. Including original Etap crockery and glasses.
The bathroom has a practical electric toilet, a washbasin with a shower and ample storage. Water capacity is 80 litre (1 tank). The Mikuni diesel heater and insulated cabin allow living aboard in any weather condition.
Sails are in good condition including Elvstrom slab mainsail, Elvstrom furling self-tacking jib, 125% Genoa and an asymmetric spinnaker with a new snuffer (sock) that allows a much easier single-handed sailing experience. Brand new canopy installed at end of 2023.
The rig is sloop-rigged with Selden aluminium spars and stainless steel standing rigging.
The engine is a Volvo MD2010 Diesel, 10hp, with a saildrive and custom fitted 3-blade folding propeller, with 380 hours on the clock. New exhaust elbow of 316 stainless steel. Fuel capacity is 50 litres. It has a fully functional Raymarine auto-pilot with remote control.
Electrical system: 240 shore power, 12-volt system, one Lucas 86Ah engine battery, and one Lucas LX24 80Ah habitat battery (recently upgraded). Charged by engine, shore power and solar panels.
Instruments: original Raymarine 650 and ST60 instruments, with the addition of AIS and Digital NMEA wi-fi bridge that relays all system data (including AIS) to your tablet and preferred navigation app. VHF radio.
Gelcoat finish, with antifouling done while spending one year in storage (2022-2023), before re-launching in September 2023. Since then it has sailed every month from its current location on the South coast, in the Chichester marina.
